Past member of Young executive
I sold my interests in Canada and moved to the United States in 1976.
Since moving to the United States, the following is my resume:
Argon Plastics Ltd. 1977 – 1978
President/Partner
This company was engaged in injection molding of advertising specialties. This company was heavily underfinanced and after working with the owner, we developed some new products and were working on increasing the company’s base. The owner decided that he did not want the pressures of business and wanted to sell. I developed a sales program for the owner and we sold the company at a profit.
Old World Cone Corporation 1978 - 1990
President/Partner
I developed the large waffle ice-cream cones, equipment and the cone mix. I opened a retail store in Bellevue, Washington and Ocean Beach, California, to promote our equipment and cone mix. To expand our business faster, I brought in a partner. We became the largest manufacturer of the cone-making-equipment in the United States. I later sold out to my partner.
Brookside Agra Corporation 1993 - 1996
President/Partner
Brookside developed and distributed products internationally to the agricultural industries. We sold at a huge profit.
Pro-Tech Corporation 1995 - 2001
President/Partner
Pro-Tech installed specialized equipment in one of the larger cheese/dairy companies in California, to manufacture whey protein powder. Our whey protein was sold to the agricultural and health food industries. We sold this product to over 6 countries. After 5 profitable years, the Dairy we worked with purchased our company.
Nutratech Corporation 2001 - 2006
President/Owner
Specialty Vitamin Company. These products were produced using a special formula and manufacturing process. The vitamins were manufactured under a license in California.
Our supplier ran into financial problems and was forced to close down the operation, which supplied us with out products. Due to the complexities of re-starting with another company and/or manufacturing vitamins ourselves, I decided to close down our mail order business.
2007 - Present
I have been involved with consulting/management and actively sourcing information on products from China and Twain. I have assisted or been similarly involved with 3 separate companies, helping with their sales/marketing (from Real Estate to Retail). Most recently, I helped a company procure a buyer for their unprofitable celiac food products and am assisting this new company, on a part-time basis, to bring these products into the ‘black’.
Summary:
I have a broad base of experience with start-up companies and the experienced to make these companies grow and become successful.
I also have a good insight into the inner workings of companies and how bureaucracy can grow and spread and harm the company’s potential growth and profits. I know how to re-direct these problems and breakdown the bureaucracy barriers.
I work well with management to develop a loyal following from their staff. I guide sales staff to procure maximum customers; both are paramount for success in all industries.
